2016 Chinaplas

PLASTASIA originated in Bangalore, India and is one of the three major plastics exhibitions in India. In 2014, the organizer TRIUNE cooperated with the global exhibition giant Reed Exhibitions to form REED TRIUNE. The 5th India International Rubber and Plastics Exhibition will be held on March 3-6, 2016. PLASTASIA will be the only Chinaplas exhibition in New Delhi.

Domestic demand for Indian plastics: India is one of the fastest growing plastics industries in the world, with an average annual growth rate of plastics consumption of 16% compared to 10% in China and 2.5% in the UK. This trend is likely to continue as the middle class continues to grow (estimated at 50 million today) and per capita plastic consumption is low (currently only 8 kg per person). According to the Plastindia Foundation, the country's per capita plastic consumption is likely to reach 16 kilograms by 2015. At the same time, according to the British Plastics Association (British Plastindia Foundation), India's main plastic processing technology, the dominant position is injection molding, accounting for up to 58%; followed by extrusion molding, accounting for 30%; blow molding accounted for 10%, in addition to other technologies only accounted for 2%.
